Specification

The new open channel Multi Electrode Elvers Counter has been designed to remove the hard work and dedication required to interpret video data of elvers moving past the camera's video recording.
This event usually triggers the video to save a few seconds worth of video record, the problem comes when the same elver retriggers the video recorder. Many false counts can occur, due to recounting the same elver over and over again.

The new Multi Electrode Elvers Counter detects elvers as small as 20mm in length up to and above 160mm, the system also counts eels.

Some other important features provided for each elvers event include:
- The true length of the elver, (it is not influenced by the bulk of the elver).
- Its swim speed past the multi electrode counting array in metres per second, to a resolution of 0.01 metres per second.
- The body mass value of the elver, from a value from 20 up to 200, and to a resolution of 1.
- The date and time of the elver passage, and its direction of travel.
- It will count and size two elvers, if they are separated by as little as 10mm.

The system does not suffer from changes in conductivity.
